Best Name Ever
Adelaide has a pony (My Little Pony) and it's name is.....Best Name Ever. That's right. After she first received it, she was trying to think of a name for it. She said she wanted whatever name she chose to be the best name ever. Then she got this 'A-ha' moment and said, "I know! I will name it: Best Name Ever". Tonight she came into my room and said, "Best Name Ever just told me a funny story."

Uh-sgusting
Addy can't quite pronounce 'disgusting'....although she likes to use that word a lot. Instead, it comes out Uh-sgusting. Mostly in reference to things her brother does, "Ew, Deacon. That is asgusting."

I love you Gma Gavin
I let Addy record something to send to Grandma Gavin. This is what she came up with:
"I love you grandma gavin because y have a lot of games to play and you have new app but i most love you for i you grandma gavin"
Doesn't make complete sense how it came out, but basically she likes Grandma's ipad and the games and apps she lets Addy play ;)

Adelaide in November
She was supposed to decorate a turkey to disguise it (to keep it from getting eaten). Most kids chose cheerios or buttons to disguise theirs....she chose trash that she picked up around the school yard.

Tolmachoff Field Trip - Oct 2014
I volunteered to be a chaperone on Addy's first field trip. I had gone with Deacon a couple years before, so it was fun to have a turn with Adelaide. Her 'boyfriend' Tanner was in our group (below). He's the one in the middle.
We learned about corn and got to pick some cucumber and zucchini and a pumpkin home with us.

Addy Says...
When we ask Addy to do something she doesn't want to do, she gets this really sad look on her face and says, "Too Boring Me." Meaning she doesn't feel like doing it. She says it so sweetly.....and I'm like, "No, you need to________(brush your teeth, stay in bed, eat dinner, etc)."
Nair-mine (nevermind). At first she would be saying "mom! mom!" and when I would finally answer she would literally forget what she was saying and just sweetly go "nair mind". Now she does it as a joke. She will say "Mom." and I will answer right away and then she says "nair mind" and laughs and laughs and laughs.
One thing she does NOT say sweetly though: "it no manna!" This is when she is trying to tell us something and we don't understand and we ask her to say it again. She won't repeat it, she just yells angrily, "It no manna!" Which I *think* means "It doesn't matter (anyway)". But I don't know.... She is speaking better though, so we don't have to ask her to repeat things as often. But I am forever not knowing the difference between penny and pretty and panty or buy and bike. Today she was point at her bike saying "where dad buy? where dad buy?" and I was telling her we didn't buy her bike anywhere (found it on the side of the road:). But she was really asking where dad's bike was (it was stolen out of our yard) :(

Skip/Walk
Addy has the cutest little skip in her walk as she goes about the house doing her routine. It is so cute and you can tell she is happy because she can't help but skip! Almost like a gallop! I need to get it on video because she isn't even aware that she does it, she just floats along from one room to the other.
Tag! You're it!
Addy and Vander were playing
'tag' at Grandma's house on Sunday and now she has been asking me
EVERYDAY to play it with her at our house. So cute. She will run up and
lightly hit me and say "Tag. You're it, mama" then she will run away
giggling. So then I chase her down the hallway (our house isn't that big
but it is still fun for her). Then I tag her and she chases me. I can't
run too fast though or she gets frustrated that she can't catch me quickly. It
is comical to watch! Especially when I try to leap over the bed Ü. Anyway, I don't know how they started playing it
together but it's funny....
Also, Addy loves to cook in her little play kitchen. She is always asking, "Mom, play...my....room?" That means she wants me to come sit at her play table so she can cook for me. She makes "train soup" which is a bowl full of Deacon's toy trains and I pretend to slurp it like soup. Her nursery teacher told me Addy made her "dog soup" on Sunday----hopefully that is not soup made of real dog Ü.

"Like"
So, nothing to do with Facebook but Addy uses the word "like" a lot, but not in the teenager way Ü. It is so adorable when she gives me a hug and says, "Like. Momma." Then, to be sure nobody feels left out, she goes through a whole other list: "Like...Daddy. Like....Deelie (Deacon). Like....Nano (Grandma). Like....Papa. Like....RoRo."
Then, if she DOESN'T like something, she makes this frowny face and shakes her head while saying, "Like...naps".

Ta-La!
The last few days Addy has been coming up to me and saying, "Shut. Eyes." to get me to close my eyes and follow her to room. When I open my eyes she yells "Ta-La" (like ta-da) and shows me that she cleaned her room all by herself. She threw everything in a cardboard box, but I will take what I can get!!
